Tequilador Tequila Reposado

Tequilador Reposado Tequila is produced from the finest 100% Blue Agave from Tequila, Jalisco. This tequila is smooth but with character, with a masterful balance of flavors, depth, and aroma. Its unique combination is obtained by selecting the finest Agave plants which after being carefully processed and closed monitored by our “Experto Tequilador” is left to patiently age inside our carefully maintained white oak barrels.

Tequilador is a combination of words: Tequila & conqueror, Tequila & matador, D'Or which means "made of gold", a synonym which brings the memories of "El Dorado", the mythical and magical golden city haunted by Spanish conquerors, but never found. Tequilador reflects a strong and authentic Mexican connotation with an exotic sense, which goes hand in hand with the origin of the 100% Mexican spirit.

Tequilador is an entirely new brand to me. It comes from NOM 1437, which makes some solid juices like Tequila 88. The bottle looks classy and I'm ready to jump in...

Price: $40-50/bottle
Aroma: Medicinal and not pleasant. If you know the taste of diffuser tequila...this is it.
Initial Taste: A raw agave sweetness with a bit of sour flavor.
Body: Thin and the medicinal flavor is more prominent. Makes you pucker because it’s so harsh. Really tough to drink. Not much sweetness or barrel flavors.
Finish: Short, but thankfully so. Bitterness and a hint of alcohol.

I'm generally not this harsh on tequilas, but this one was really tough to get through. I can't see recommending this (particularly at a high price point) to anyone for even mixing. It always makes me sad to write reviews like this, but with 1300+ brands out there, you have plenty to choose from and I don't want you to make the mistake of buying ones that don't belong in the price range.
