Came highly recommended, but I must say this bottle was one of my bigger tequila disappointments in the last year or so...

I drink silver tequilas exclusively, and only drink them neat. This bottle was displayed on the top shelf at my reputable liquor store and set me back $45; it should have been displayed between the Herradura and Tres Generaciones and cost about $35. I usually shy away from elaborate bottles (more money spent on the packaging means less money spent on the contents) and should have trusted my gut on this one. I have a feeling this tequila would be great were it only double-distilled, but after triple-distilling there's not much agave left. Very sharp alcohol taste and mediocre mouth feel. Very short finish, but given the poor initial flavor and body, the quick finish is this tequila's strongest asset. Reminds me of Don Eduardo, another disappointment in my book.

Certainly not the worst tequila I've ever had, but the worst tequila I've ever seen pulled off the top shelf.

I was somewhat disappointed in CN Crystal after the glowing reviews. The aroma particularly fell short of that noted in other reviews. CN Crystal is a good blanco, but to my taste it is not an outstanding one. These things are personal, but I prefer the blancos from Herradura, Cabo Wabo, and Don Julio over Crystal. I don't know if it is possible to get a bad bottle or if the new version referred to in March 2006 just does not measure up, but my impressions were certainly different from the earlier reviewers.

Con much gusto, Buzz

Purchased from Discount Liquor in Waukesha, WI for 41.99. This tequila has more character than many of the rested and aged tequilas that I have tried.

Aroma-Agave, very sweet, I almost get a hint of chocolate
Initial taste-Well balanced, nice agave flavor with a hint of earthiness
finish- a hint of pepper and a slight, but enjoyable, bitter taste

This is the best blanco I have ever tried. It is so good I could drink it for dessert.

I'm not going to give you a pile of pretentious crap. I've been drinking tequila since the 1970's; I know what I like and what I don't. I'll sip a half a bottle in a night and judge a lot by whether I can deal with work the next day, or feel like killing any small mammal that speaks ttoo loudly.
If this description speaks to you...read on.
This is good stuff. It rolls down smooth, and has a bit more life to it than Patron or Cabo. Mostly oak in the flavor, but not enough to cover the fact that this is cactus running down yer pipes. Just a really mellow flavor that gives emphasis to the "ahhh" on the swallow, and makes you smile at your new best friend while he/she pours the next shot.Next morning is a clean experience; drink half a bottle and you'll want to take a nap during the workday, but you can roll with the crap if you can't. But you don't hurt, and that means clean, which is want we all want once we put our snifters down and get real.
Bottom line: good stuff, I like the silve better tan Cabo or Patron, and Carlos knowds his tequila as well as he knows his Les Paul. Enjoy.

This website and the reviews on Casa Noble got me enthused about tequila. It is highly rated and the reviews are accurate. After reading about it I wanted it badly. I looked all over but it seemed hopeless. But one day a giant liquor store had began stocking it. Thank Heavens!! The blanco came in a package with a 50ml reposado and a 50ml anejo for $49.99. Bought; drank; love. It opened me up to the world of tequilas.

Drank it mostly in margaritas. Superb. The flavor was outstanding.

I highly recommend this tequila to anyone and everyone.
