Default Flask

Yea or nay?

I have a couple of stainless steel eight ounce flasks for when I know I'll be somewhere that my preferred spirit isn't offered. I'll quietly sneak a sip or two when it is appropriate. Anyone else use 'em?

Of course, but I'm from Texas :-P

I use a flask occasionaly. Usually at parties where I want to bring something of quality but dont want everyone to know about it. Kind of like my "personal stash". Or if we are out in the backyard grilling and I want something convenient to refill my snifter or reidel.

I've used my flask in places that alcohol is not served but not often...it makes me feel like an alcoholic but in reality I just like the thought of being rebelious for a minute.

I would not say flasks are for Cowboys though...I associate things like Bud Light or Keystone out of a cooler with Cowboys...but I also do these things and don't consider myself "cowboy"...I've lived 21 years in Texas, I probably have a country spirit.

I use a flask on occasion. I actually have a Patron one that's wrapped in leather with the 'bee' on it, it was in a gift set.

I have three flasks that I use quite often. Each one has it's designated blanco, repo, and anejo labels. Here in Florida there are many outdoor beach bars that carry the typical boring selection of 100% agave spirits.....Patron, Cazadores, etc. I usually bite the bullet and order a snifter of Patron. After finishing that off I then keep it filled with my favorite flavor du jour poured right from my flask! The servers don't really care. A nice tip usually takes care of that or else I tell them I'm just a slow sipper! I also like to slip a flask in my back pocket to enjoy at a Tampa Bay Rays game. That's a must because the only selection available at Tropicana Field is Cuervo Gold and Margaritaville! However, I do agree with blagave on the fact that they just don't seem to hold enough!
