bought 2/15/10, Paid $40, it looks good, bottle is nice but once in the glass its all down hill from there. Not much of a nose, i smell to figure out what is ahead. If I knew I would not have drank it. This is the worst $ I have spent on tequila, dare I say worse than Patro$#@! agh. Maybe I,m a bit of a snob, with over 20 quality anejos at my disposal my taste buds went on strike here. Im not gona get it to it here. Its not that cheap and has no saving grace. Avoid this agave.

Beautiful bottle presentation. Nice aroma with smoke and vanilla. It moves from a sweet, smooth start to a strong, peppery burn. Not unpleasant while sipping on a cold winter day.

Bright gold in the Reidel glass, wood and smoke are the predominant aromas - earth and vanilla soon appear. Somewhat heavy in the mouth, its sweet opening fails to lead to much. There is little agave presence to distinguish this product from other aged spirits. It fades away slowly, but without much fanfare and no memorable notes, other than its pervasive woodiness and a lingering alcohol burn. Price is modest - but you get what you pay for. I will not be buying this anejo again.

This tequila is very smooth and flavorful but a bit too woody for my taste. I am a fan of the reposado Cazadores but not so much with this anejo.

Cazadores tequilas are a great value, I think you get a great tequila for the money

I sipped this out of a shot glass after eating pizza (not ideal, I know). Cost me about $45 in MI.

Nice scent, not extraordinary, but nice - some floral, pepper, and very slight vanilla presence.

I loved the initial taste - very sweet, almost buttery, which was evident to me in the body as well. The body was more oily than I expected, not too much, but definitely there. The finish was a little warm and oily, and flavors were slightly peppery, oak, with a little more subtle agave presence than I would hope for, but delicious still.

This is a great value anejo, and I'd recommend it, but not my favorite. In the price range I think Don Julio's anejo has it beat hands down.
