Tasted 10/05/14 from a Riedel Tequila Glass.
Appearance: Crystal clear color.
Aroma: Light, crisp and refreshing with an aroma of sweet agave and light floral/citrus notes.
Initial Taste: Bold taste of peppery agave, a touch of ripe fruit, and mild citrus.
Body: Medium body with light tears and a smooth buttery mouth feel.
Finish: Nice long smooth finish with peppery spice of agave that ends with a mild numbing of the tongue.
Enjoyability: 93
Price: Retails for $20-50$/bottle.
Presentation: An antique looking local hand blown artisanal glass bottle.
This is a very nice robust Blanco that is an excellent sipper. I wouldn’t call it a “value” tequila; rather it is probably the best bargain you will find for a premium tequila. The retail price varies widely. When I purchased it for $19.99 on sale at the Old Town Liquor Store in San Diego, the owner told me “it was the best bargain in the store.”

I liked more or less everything about this blanco.
Aroma: Agave, citrus and floral notes. Very pleasant.
Initial Taste: Sweet agave with a touch of citrus and spice.
Body: This, but really a nice sipper. This is something that could really be enjoyed on a summer day.
Finish: Nice pepper and agave and alcohol heat that rounds it all out nicely.
I recently made a purchase from a lot of places online and bought this for $17.99 and my expectations were tempered. However, for that price, this blanco simply can't be beat. It might be my favorite when all factors are considered. I'd recommend this one to anyone.

Tasted out of a Riedel glass. I don't usually drink blancos and this one surprised me a bit, but not in a bad way.
Aroma: Earthy, floral, cooked agave. Black pepper on the nose.
Initial taste: Faintly sweet and thin.
Body: Agave-forward. Not extremely complex, but some nice fruit notes there. Pretty dry in the body.
Finish: A semi-sweet fruity finish fades to earthy herb and intense pepper spice that lingers the longest.
A good showing from a good line. A solid A-.

Tasted 07/22/08 out of high ball. I have my favorite top 5 blancos that always remind me of why I love blancos. This blanco does just that. Its a great blanco. I would never mix this one. It's one to be savored.
Aroma: Very pleasant nose of agave, floral and earth.
Initial Taste: A thin mouth feel, a 'nice' sweet with no bitterness.
Body: Very floral, very agave, with mild fruit and spice.
Finish: It was a nice long finish (yay!) with a nice alcohol intensity that was not overbearing.

Herencia Mexicana Blanco NOM 1079 Tasted on 7/16/08 at 6:45pm. I tried this tequila at Pueblo Chico Cantina in El Dorado Hills and tasted it in a glass similar to a snifter. With a clear color, this tequila has intense floral aromas. Other aromas include moderate earth and spice with mild fruit. The tequila has a thin mouth feel and on the first sip it has a mellow sweetness with no bitterness. Intense flavors of floral and agave and moderate fruit and spice. Mild notes of earth are also present. With a long duration of flavor this tequila finishes with a tingly numbing finish. Herencia Mexicana Blanco has received the rating of 93 points out of 100.
