I was not at all disappointed with the result.

Aroma: A nice mix of vanilla and citrus with lighter hints of earthy agave and spice.
Initial Taste: Spicy agave with citrus and cinnamon aand hints of oak.
Body: Medium body. Lots of flavors and character as it sits on the palate: light citrus, caramel, oak and earth.
Finish: A nice long finish that has a great agave pepper bite along with brown spices and light oak.

This is a very good reposado. It has great balance between the agave flavors and the aging and uses them in a complimentary way. Although this would be a great mixer, I think that I'd stick to just sipping this one straight. It's an outstanding tequila. Well done 7 Leguas!

One of the most enjoyable reposados I've had in a while. Certainly a tequila that will find a lasting place on my shelf as a staple of my collection.

Aroma: Toffee, brown sugar, citrus peel, pepper.
Initial taste: Soft, sweet, with mild caramel and a "sugary" sensation (but not a sugary taste). A very welcoming first few moments!
Body: Very smooth and sensuous on the palate. Slightly oily. Develops beautifully in a burst of flavor.
Finish: Rounds out nicely and coats the mouth in wonderful flavors of fresh agave, spice, and citrus against a very mellow caramel background.

This tequila is a near theatrical experience. It introduces itself as one thing and then changes to another almost instantly in a crescendo of flavor. My one complaint would be that I wish it were a bit more oily as it has a semi-thin mouthfeel. Altogether, though, this is a beautifully put together classic reposado. I'm just mad I hadn't tried it sooner.

A beautifully pale, golden color spirit. The open agave, peppery nose progressed into a wonderfully smoky, spicy, sweet agave taste experience. The body was even better when all the tastes came together and literally danced across my tongue in a long, enduring finish that lasted for quite some time. This tequila is as smooth as the other finest reposado's on the market. Because of the aforementioned attributes, 7 Leguas will always have a place in my bar & deserves to stand alongside the very best tequila's available. Even @ $40+ a bottle, this is a truly fine tequila worthy of the most discriminating palates.

A great reposado that comes from a great line. Everything about this tequila, from the presentation, the the product is very authentic and a great value. I recommend their entire line to tequila drinkers looking for a more complex tequila.

Aroma: A nose full of fruit, and caramel, with lighter notes of spices and earth.
Initial Taste: A semi oily mouth feel. A slightly woody entry with no bitterness.
Body: A well rounded body, full of slightly woody agave. Lighter notes of caramel, cinnamon, and earth.
Finish: A slightly fruity finish. Semi heated for a medium duration. With a fruity caramel lingering.

7 Leguas Reposado NOM 1120 Tasted 5/27/07. On this date I tried this tequila by doing a blind tasting at Zocalo using a snifter. This tequila is a pale yellow color and has intense aromas of earth, fruit, and floral. There are also moderate aromas of spice followed by mild smoke. A mellow taste on the tip of the tongue leads to a sweet tequila taste with a small amount of bitterness. The 7 Leguas Reposado flavor contains intense fruit, agave, and earth flavors with moderate floral. The tequila also has mild intensities of vanilla, spice, and wood followed by hints of caramel and smoke. 7 Leguas Reposado finishes with a medium to long duration of flavor and a numbing alcohol feeling. This tequila has been awarded the overall rating of 92 points out of 100.

7 Leguas Reposado NOM 1120 Tasted on 5/18/07 at 5:00pm. I tried this tequila, which cost me $11, at Zocalo and tasted it in a snifter. With a pale yellow color, this tequila has intense aromas of floral, fruit, and earth. Other aromas include moderate spice and vanilla with mild smoke. The tequila has a medium mouth feel and on the first sip is sweet with mild-to-moderate bitterness. 7 Leguas Reposado has numerous arrays of flavors due to its 6 months of aging. Intense flavors of agave and fruit are followed by moderate notes of earth and floral. With a medium duration of flavor, tastes of mild spice and smoke with a hint of vanilla bring this tequila to a numbing finish. 7 Leguas Reposado has received the rating of 89 points out of 100.
