You will especially enjoy this if your only experience has been with the Tequilas of your University days. This is a gateway to more premium brands. Enjoyable for the price!

The flavors are too harsh to be sipped. The flavors work well in a margarita or with something with citrus and the price is right to be able to afford a mixed drink with a 100% agave tequila.

The price point is decent and the bottle is nice, but some good research will lead you to better tasting tequilas to drink straight with a similar price.

Well knit together by the time on wood. Nice floral and fruit notes as well as some very nicely smoothed agave tartness and a slight tasty hint of kick at the end.

Based on previous reviews I was very pleasantly surprised. I expected some rough stuff.

A sipper for sure and great in a margarita as well. Better then many tequilas at 2-3X the price. I am a fan of the silver as well, but now both 1800 bottlings are really the all around leader in the value, 100% Agave category. At least here in Boston you can sometimes find the 1.75 for $34.99.

Heck, it's even in a nice bottle.

I usually prefer Repasados to Blancos and Joven it has a nice amount of rested quality and for the price it is a pleasing one. I am a girl who likes my Tequila straight no mixers no chasers if you can’t drink it that way it is not worth having in my opinion. Definitely worth a try and if you have to mix it is a much higher quality for a great price.

It has the subtle wood flavoring combined with agave that I find slightly off-putting in rep's, but compared to other rep's it is nice. The agave is definitely present and not totally overpowered by the wood, but there certainly is a smokey, peppery flavor to it. If you like rep's this is definitely worth trying for the price (at least around me it's about half the cost of more well known brands).

I remember it from years ago (i'm in my 50's) when it was considered the best tequila. Well it was really disappointing this time...I do not think I would buy it again even at that price.

Rich smoky taste was overshadowed by a very bitter/sour taste and aftertaste.

For me, not great, but not bad. Aroma: Wood, earth, and faint agave Initial Taste: An oily mouth feel, on the tip of tongue there is slight bitterness Body: slight wood taste (I always prefer less), and a mellow agave body. Finish: hints of cinnamon and spices, with a slight alcohol burn.

This clear golden spirit was enjoyed in a double shot glass. It had a medium scent of alcohol at first which developed into roasted agave & oak after airing for a short period of time. The initial taste was peppery, smoky, & spicy with sweet fruit, a hint of vanilla, & medium alcohol. The pepper & spice lingered with some bitterness in this medium bodied tequila & finished in medium fashion where the slightly bitter taste dissipated. 1800 Reposado was fairly smooth, consistent with it's $24.95 price tag, not at all bad for what you received in return. I feel the current 1800 label is certainly a better product now compared to when it had a closer association with Jose Cuervo. Just short of a solid B.

I tried this tequila, which cost me $4, at the Davis Graduate Tequila Bar and tasted it in a snifter. With a yellow golden color, this tequila has intense floral and earthy aromas. Other aromas include moderate spice and fruit with mild smoke. The tequila has a medium mouth feel and on the first sip is sweet with mild to moderate bitterness. 1800 Reposado has numerous arrays of flavors due to its 6 months of aging. Intense flavors of floral and agave are followed by moderate notes of spice, earth, and fruit. With a medium duration of flavor, tastes of mild smoke with hints of wood bring this tequila to a subtle finish. 1800 Reposado has received the rating of 82 points out of 100.
