I have been fortunate over the years and have had access to many of the forbidden fruit. In reality they are not any better that many puros from the other places. They are just different, as they are puros from tobaccos only available on that island. Most brands are very good, some are great and a few are outstanding. But the same goes for cigars from the other islands, whether they are puros or not. However, only puros come from that island!

From what you said, I must assume that you enjoy fuller bodied cigars. If you do, try any of the following non Habanos:

Fuente Opus-X Series
Fuente Anejos Series
Fuente Sun Grown Series
Patron 1964 & 1926 Series
La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Series
Fuente Don Carlos
Oliva Series V
Coronado by La Flor
Ashton Sungrown Series
Diamond Crown Maximus Series

and that's just a few of the many greats out there!

PM me you addy and I'd be happy to send you a couple of sticks as well!

It seems we've hijacked this thread.....sorry

JohnnyFlake, you're very generous, thank you but I have all the one's you listed with the exception of the Fuente Don Carlos and they unfortunately all caught fire and burned to a delicious slow death. You're very correct in that cc's are not better just different and it's hard to beat the ones on your list.

Right now I'm having a Partagas Series D#4 with a glass of Rey Sol so I'm pretty happy, I hope the PSD4 lasts longer than the 1st glass of RS so I can have 2 glasses.

Yes, we sure did hijack this thread didn't we! There is already an existing thread titled "Any cigar fans out there"? that bn087 started awhile back. I'd be happy to switch over to that thread and learn as much as possible from you more experienced cigar guys.

Man, I'm sorry but we did unintentionally hijack this thread!!!

It looks like Patron and moved it over to an older thread started by bn087 ""Any cigar fans out there". Way don't those of us involved in the cigars conversation continue over there?
