Default Porfidio Anejo @ $69.99

Hello Everyone,

This is a crazy deal. I got a deal on Porfidio Anejo Mini-Packs, which includes (12) 50ml's. That is the equivalent of 600ml's. I'm putting it on sale for $69.99/pack. Dollar for dollar and ounce for ounce you won't find a better price. I did the math, but won't bore you with it. E-mail me if you are interested in knowing.

This price is being offered to tequila.net members, first. If it goes well, I will do an e-mail with it for $79.99/pack. However, I will still offer the $69.99 price for all tequila.net members.

My distributor also told me these airplane bottles are no longer being made, but don't quote me on that.

PORFIDIO ANEJO TEQUILA MINI-PACK 50ML

Hey Seth
Do those actually say Tequila on them? Or are they part of the new Porfidio breed, destilado de agave?

Darin,

I don't see anywhere on it that says tequila, but it also doesn't say "destilado de agave". It does say:

Single Agave
Single Barrel
Anejo

It also says:

Spirits Distilled
From 100% Agave

It's 38%ABV. Let me knw if there is something else you need to know off the bottle.

Seth

Is there a NOM on these bottles?

Any chance of a quality pic of a single bottle?

Thanks

Wichie

Sounds like the newer, non-Tequila Porfidio. I doubt there is any NOM on them, especially with no TEQUILA reference on the label.

Still a pretty good deal at 5 and change per. Nice traveler mini, no metal, and cute handblown bottle / cactus. If it was the old juice and bottles you'd have sold them all by now.

I just want to sell what I have. I did this as a favor to my distributor. Believe me when I say I'm not making any money on this item. I just want to get rid of them.

I don't think you can beat the price.

Not a fan of the new "non" Tequila Porfidio at any cost, but I am sure there are many that will take advantage of your pricing.

I tried one tonight, I had a bunch from several years ago. It has those lighter fruity flavors, with wood and smoke. Kind of a cross between aged Sotol and a bit of Mezcal.

Seth, have you sampled one?

I have tired it. Upon pouring, it had more of a "cognac" nose to me as opposed to what I consider an "agave" nose. There is definitely wood and smoke to it. My first sip had a light fruit taste, which was different. I thought it was smooth. I left it in the glass and came back to it about 15 minutes later. The cognac nose had faded a bit, but it was still there. It still had a light fruit taste with traces of smoke and wood.

All in all...I think it's good for the price. I tend to like tequilas like Fina Estampa, and this was nothing like that, but still enjoyable. A definite change of pace. I would get it just for the price.
