Default Birmingham, AL

I have heard that "If you ever make it out there go to Sol y Luna." Apparently, the place offers tequila and tapas. Surely, an interesting combination.

Default Cannot recommend Sol y Luna

My wife and I live near Birmingham and have tried Sol y Luna several times. The selection has improved over the years and the food is pretty good. However, the wait staff does not understand the concept of a sipping Tequila and, even sitting at one of the 4 bar stools, the pours are, at most, one ounce.

The owner sat with us at the bar one night and talked about how he takes his elite customers to Jose Cuervo and Sauza for an exclusive trip to Tequila country. OMG

Considering the premium price and the insulting pour size, I just cannot recommend this place.
