Default Viagra Margarita Recipe

This drink was invented by myself at my own tequila/tiki bar. It combines the flavor of three different tequila blends, blanco, reposado, and anejo. The reason I have named it the "Viagra Margarita" is due to the addition of the Agavero Tequila Liqueur. It is blended with 100% blue agave anejo and reposado tequilas as well as the essence of natural Damiana, an exotic sensual flower that grows in Mexico. It is a flower held in great esteem for centuries as an aphrodisiac. I can tell you from personal experience that after two or three of these special cocktails you will have a feeling of euphoria come over your mind and body. (Catch my drift?)
This recipe is posted on drinksmixer.com. I have tweaked it a little since then as would any afficionado! It is a little on the sweet side so the ladies tend to enjoy it very much. You can make it less sweet by reducing the agave nectar and/or citronge. All comments are greatly appreciated!

2 oz Don Edwardo silver tequila
1 oz Agavero tequila liqueur
1 oz Patron Citronge liqueur
2 oz Fresh Squeezed lime juice
1 oz simple syrup
Fill shaker glass with ice. Pour in all ingredients. Skake well and strain into a sugar or salt rimmed margarita glass. Also great on the rocks. Garnish with a lime wedge on the edge of the glass.

I've never had Agavero and your recipe sounds tasty.

I dont know where you mentioned agave nectar in the recipe, but I would assume subsitute that over simple syrup...I suppose I would cut the Patron Citronge out as well and add a squeeze of natural orange.

What kind of taste or aromas does Agavero bring out in the margarita? Is it sweet?

Yes my error on the recipe. The simple syrup should be replaced by the agave nectar which gives it a cleaner taste however simple syrup can be substituted in a pinch. Also a squeeze of fresh orange sounds like it would be a nice substitute for the Citronge and would also make it a little less sweet. That's the great thing about different recipes. You can always play around with them until you find the one that suites your palate! The Agavero is a blend of reposado & anejo tequilas and is slightly on the sweet side. It's nice to sip on as an after dinner drink served in a snifter. It runs anywhere between $25.00 & $35.00 per bottle. Thanks for your comments!
