Thumbs up History In The Making - Inauguration Day

This is a historical time in our country and I was hoping to gather anyones thoughts or input on the matter.

Is anyone going to personally see the inauguration in Washington DC? This will be the first President Elect that I have kept up with since the start a year or 2 ago. When George Bush entered the office 8 years ago, I was only in 9th grade and had had no concern reguarding past presidents nor did I know much about President elect Bush.

Now, as I have grown older and more mature I am getting to witness history in the making when Barack Obama becomes the first black president of the United States. How cool is that?!?!?

I guess it depends on how you look at it. It could also be the beginning of the end.

But more importantly, does he like tequila?

What Obama is does matter...I won't dispute that. His election is a testimony to how great this country is, not how bad it is. We can all criticize our nation, but when we look at others, show me one better.
What he does, rather than his race, will tell the tale. Will the economy recover? Will the wars be won or subside? One thing is very apparent. We are the least racist nation on the planet...not bad for a country that's only 230 years old. We've come a long way. Let's put that to rest and get to work.
