Herencia de Plata Reposado offers a moderate price, practical packaging, and a tequila experience which is unlikely to surprise or offend anyone. It is "middle-ground" from start to finish. Nose is dominated by strong brown sugar & caramel aromas, mild agave and milder fruit, maybe apricot. Medium body moderates the sweetness of the aroma, and allows the agave flavour to develop without bitterness. Fades very elegantly with spice and pepper. Personally, I find the sweetness of the aroma a bit excessive but the body and finish tend to balance it out. Overall it is a pleasing product. The short and stable bottle design is an asset when presenting and pouring at the table. For all their moderate characteristics, this Reposado and its its Anejo counterpart are my "training wheels" tequilas for the uninitiated.
