After trying the reposado, I was really interested in trying the other expressions. Let's see if this little brand from NOM 1529 (Agaveros y Tequileros Unidos de Los Altos, S.A. de C.V.) can keep up the solid work. As I stated there, the bottle is beautiful and the weapon cap stands out. But ultimately the contents mean more than the packaging...

Aroma: Nice crisp agave nose. Light sweetness and hints of earth.

Initial Taste: Light sweetness. Very crisp agave flavor.

Body: Medium bodied and still a very straightforward and tasty agave flavor. Not overly complex, but quite tasty.

Finish: A nice peppery finish with a medium duration. If you like agave filled finishes, this is a solid one.

Very crisp, very clean. Not overly complex, but quite tasty.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this review. This was pretty bad tequila. The nose was very chemically and full of acetone. The taste and finish were unremarkable at best. The bottle is the best part, which is never a good thing to have to say.

Luckily I was able to mix with it, but at the price this normally sells for, you could get two bottles of a good bargain mixer.

Personally I was disappointed with this brand. Good presentation, nose and agave, but the finish burns with a succinct spicy twinge. I've had a few other brands in this price range that yield a more floral, smoother aftertaste. I'm kind of new to tequila and I'm not too happy that I spent $50 on a bottle that I am not very crazy about. With so many out there I wish there was a way to sample them before investing half a C note.
