Consistent with much of the rest of the Patron line. This has a stronger agave taste than other Patron tequilas and is off the charts smooth. However, for $150+ a bottle, it needs to be more than that. Not enough flavor or character to merit such a high price tag. The crystal bottle is beautifully wrapped in a velvet bag and the maple box is a nice touch. It's more flash than substance.

A decent tequila that looks good on a shelf, but a terrible value for the price.

This is my first review of a tequila and my tastes might not be as refined as others but I wanted to share my experience with the Gran Patron, tasted on 12/21.

My wife bought this for me as a Christmas present and said I could try it before it went under the tree. I tend to like the anjeo's more than the Blanco's but my wife is much more sophisticated than I in purchasing tequila - she liked the maple box, the black velvet bag, and the bottle, so she bought it.

I really enjoyed this tequila, the aroma was very pleasant, I liked the agave taste and it was very smooth with a nice warm finish. I liked it allot. You can say what you want about the price, it is a little pricey, but when you pull the bottle of Gran Patron Platinum out to share with friends, it's going to be impressive.

Thanks Honey, you did good.

When i found this priced around 65$ i couldnt resist it. its very smooth indeed. But when your drinking smooth spirits like this, you want silence, serenity, and all time in the world to just explore every aspect of it. It aint tequila you shoot or drink at a full smacked bar as its very subtle and might seem to vanish like a puff of smoke compared to outer, more pungent and raw-edged blancos. But for 65$ this is a top shelf relaxation drink IMHO.

This is a good if not great tequila but for the price you could just about buy a case of an even better silver tequila. Considering that $50-$60 is usually the most expensive price for a great silver tequila the price is just simply too much. Most of the cost is because of the name. It is very smooth and has an agave taste to it. It can be sipped but is not as smooth as most reposados and anejos. By its self Gran Patron is an enjoyable tequila but if you are going to spend $200 on a bottle of tequila there are just so many more great buys out there.

this tequila is pretty smooth as far as blancos go, but a little overpriced. nice pure agave taste, and a grand presentation
