Very light, very smooth. Sweet agave flavor, although a bit too light for my taste. I am going to try their reposado as I thought this tasted really good but I prefer the smoky addition that they againg gives it.

I recommend this for those who may be just starting their tequila journey as it a really good, smooth spirit.

Tasted in a caballito on April 11, 2008 showing clear thunder thigh lasting legs on the glass.

Chinaco Blanco

Color: clear
Aroma: agave & clay
Taste: clay with hot pepper finish and light on the tongue

I enjoy the light blanco mouthfeel of the Chinaco Blanco with its earthy agave taste. This is a pure well done Blanco that can be drunk neat, on ice or in a cocktail !

The Chinaco Blanco is currently my top Blanco pick as of the writing of this review, along with Corralejo or the El Diamante Del Cielo's.

Chinaco Blanco NOM 1127 Tasted on 5/7/07 at 6:30pm. I tried this tequila at Zocalo?s free tasting and tasted it out of a shot glass. The tequila is clear in color and is aged less than 1 month. Chinaco Blanco aromas consist of intense earth, spice, and floral aspects followed by moderate smoke. On the lighter side, this Blanco has mild aromas of fruit. On the tip of tongue, this tequila is mellow and has a medium mouth feel. While the tequila has heavy agave flavor, it is sweet and has only a hint of bitterness. The flavor of this tequila contains intense flavors of earth, agave, and floral followed by moderate wood and fruit aspects. Deeper flavors of Chinaco Blanco consist of mild smoke and spice. Upon finishing this tequila, there is a medium-to-long duration of flavor and numbing alcohol intensity. I have rated this tequila at 92 out of 100 points.

Chinaco?s Blanco is crystal clear with a slightly salty perfume whose soft sensations on the nose cleverly invite curiosity. From first sip to swallow the tequila only opens slightly remaining steady and smooth until the classic bite and breath that distinguishes tequila's character. I would describe it as the silk stockings of platas given its sophisticated presence in aroma and body. I noted subtle waves of lime and an almost sweet impression at the tip of the lips after initial taste. Bottle is simple, and one has to appreciate the honorable GGDL dedication considering the flash with trash tactics some bottlers employ to awe the drinker passed mediocrity in taste.
