Just bought a bottle of this, here in the States, for apx. $26, on sale. I found it has a sweet aroma, with the ever present smell of alcohol. Just as you should expect. It has a pleasant flavor and a nice warm burn as it goes down. Unlike what I've had in Mexico, this has 40% by volume, so it's not as smooth. It does leave a nice after taste in the mouth, for a respectable finish. According to the info that came with the etched glass bottle, this tequila has been aged 9 months in a white oak barrel. It still has a fine tequila taste and it's not too harsh, Not as smooth as some, but still, not something you should turn down if you have a chance to try it. After all, it is a tequila, and you should want it to taste like one.

I tried this one more than one time I got the bottle across the border it is much nicer in Mexico than the one you can get in the US. and the price in mexico is in the $12.00 range i do not think i would pay more. I rather like this Tequila it has a very light nose though and is not rich in flavor I do not find it as biting as some I have tried and for the price it is one I will always have in my bar to mix with . As a chick who likes her tequila and prefer Anejo to a Repasado any day, but in a pinch this is a good pick for mixers.

This is a very affordable reposado but there are much better choices, widely available, in the same price range. I rate all tequilas on their ability to stand up as a neat drink, without ice or mix, and this one doesn't make the grade based on those criteria. This is a very thin tequila with a lot of bite in the finish. The ornate frosted bottle (which is certainly eye-catching and distinctive) has made it a popular choice with tourists looking to bring home a fancy looking souvenir, and it is well suited as the alcohol in a margarita or as a "shooter", but is a little too harsh to sip neat. There are also no unique or quirky characteristics that would put it in a niche category for me, just a simple inexpensive reposado that is easy to find and to afford.

Tequila Don Ramon Reposado Light gold colour rich aromas of agave and herbals. Initial moderate mouth with agave & earth- neither sweet nor bitter with a slightly sharp alcohol presence - its level and satisfying characteristics flow to a long and pleasing finish, offering the same elegant agave and herbal notes. Overall a simple but pleasing highland Reposado from Tepatitlan. It offers no great depth or surprises - attractively presented in a sand-blasted simple bottle- consistent from start to finish and very good value for the price $11 in Queretaro Mexico.
