Tequila Festival in Tijuana, Mex.....

Hi I just joined your forum. Did you guys know that there is a big Tequila Festival held in October in Tijuana, Mexico? I live in San Diego so I take the opportunity to go with my friends all tequila aficionados and do taste of all the good tequilas being offered in the festival mostly reposado and anejo. My friends and I have been going to the Tequila Festival for more then five years and have created a big tequila list where we rated the tequilas base on flavor, aroma, presentation, etc. The Tequila list has become very popular with the vendors, which by the way they all come from Jalisco and patrons. Anyway just thought I let you know.

Ive been to Tijuana 20 million times and never been to the festival. I want to go this year...

Welcome to the forum, Renech. I also live here in San Diego. The Tequila Festival is 1 of my favorite events on Tequila, so yes my wife and I been to about 4 or 5 Tequila Festivals down in Tijuana. Where do you live in San Diego cause we might be close neighborsperhaps you and or your friends might know of some good spots down in TJ. where I might be able to find some good Tequilas.

Thank you very much for the welcome I live in San Ysidro so I'm very close to the border. My friends and I go on our bikes to visit TJ especially to the Tequila Festival. I believe there's also a beer festival held during that time frame in October, however, I have not gone to the beer festival yet. You have probably seen us, a group of four or five gringos wearing baseball caps carrying a list where we evaluate the tequilas we only do small amounts of tequila so we can provide a good evaluation of the many good tequilas they offer at the festival. I think that it is even better then the Vegas one, which is probably over rated and very expensive compare to the border city anyway just my opinion.

Yes, when is it this year. I've been every yr except the first, so about 6 yrs or so...... It's usually the 2nd or 3rd weekend in Sept. but no word yet I've found.

Actually, I believe it will be sometime in October. Looking forward to this Event.

Tequila Tours posted the dates as October 16th through the 18th. But I'd double check that the sooner it gets towards the date. I read it started on a Saturday last year, went to TJ, only to find out it started on Sunday and was a week long. I did the smart thing and came back the next day and loved it!
