Default Exclusive 11 year old Reserve by Master Distiller German Gonzalez

Magnum bottle (1.5 liter) named "Lágrima de Agave" accompanied by a 200 ml so the collector may enjoy it, without opening the magnum.

The inscription, by hand, reads: "Tequila excepcional añejado por once años en la barrica única t1.

Tequila perfectamente balanceado entre el agave y la madera con ligeros matices a chocolate."

Limited Edition of only 34 bottles.

The story behind: This is a 180 liter barrel, a T1, property of German Gonzalez for many years. On this t1 he had aged, for more than 11 years, a special blend. He often tasted to balance a proper equilibrium. After all this years there are only 60 liters left.

There is no brand, but it is from German Gonzalez T1 barrel and aged in his cava.

The decanter Lágrima de Agave was hand made in Mexico, specially designed for this exquisite elixir. There will be only 34 bottles, each one numbered and dedicated to the buyer, by the Master Distiller.

This precious tequila is priced at $2,000 each now, and will be $4,000 after August 2008. To save a bottle(s), a check of $1,000 per bottle, is required and made to German Gonzalez. The remaining $1,000 is due at the time of delivery (end of August ’0.

PRE-sale: $2,000

$1,000 now
$1,000 at delivery (End of August 200

For serious collectors only, send me a PM and I will put you in contact with the appropriate contact.

Looks quite interesting, but a bit beyond my range. I'd be interested to know how it tastes, etc. if anyone who gets a bottle can write up a review.

German is a master, no doubt. And with such a limited release, I don't suppose anyone will actually be drinking theirs. A collectors item for sure.

That would be really cool to be one of only 34 owners. For $2k, and then $4k, imagine the cache of store-boughts you could ring up!

It would be cool for those of us who can't afford it but want to try it to try and go in on a bottle and then try and split it somehow. Then the quandary becomes, who keeps the empty bottle!

I would of course.
The bottle actually comes with a 200ml bottle to taste so you dont have to open the 1.5 lt.
I like your idea of pitching in for one any other takers on this. I would be willing to put in my share or alittle more.

10 people hypothetically going in would give us 150 mL each and maybe we just put our names in a hat and have a drawing (before delivery of course so it can be personalized) for the decanter and the 200 mL bottle. Or maybe 2 drawings, 1 for the decanter, 1 for the 200mL side bottle.

$200 bucks each with 10 people is nothing to scoff at - that's almost a bottle of HSS or DJ Real, but hey, 34 bottles ain't a whole lot, so I'd do it.

Imagine hanging on to both the 200ml and 1.5l and wait 10 years. I'm sure it will be a 5k-10k dollar collectible. Whats the point in drinking something like that anyways? I think you can find AsomBroso's 11yr anejo for 900.00 if you curious on how something that aged would taste.

Or maybe I'm just jealous because I cant pitch in

Carssausage, I am waiting for my plan in Mexico but will be back at about 3 or 4am so I will talk to you more about this bottle when I get home. Wait and do not make any purchase or deals with others till I talk to you. Talk to you tomorrow, Joe

So I got a few messages about my comment to Carssausage written below. In short, I hope that people never make purchases of this amount without asking for more information. To buy a $2000 bottle with almost no information is crazy. I passed on some of my concerns and responses to my questions to Carssausage because he seemed like he was going to buy one and I typically talk to him on a regular basis anyway. With all that said German is a great person and I am in no way saying that he is trying to rip anyone off. Instead I am saying that anyone interested should ask for a lot more info (and I mean a lot. ie barrel type, NOM, distillery, etc.).
