Default Avelino Ruiz S.A. bottle

I have searched everywhere and can not find the origin or any info on a clear glass bottle I have. It is marked Avelino Ruiz S A, Gualalajara, Mexico on one side and on the other Federal Law Forbids Sale or Re-Use of this bottle. At bottom 4/5 quart. There are additional markings on the very bottom. Any help would be appreciated.

Default Answer to your question

Hello there,

Avelino Ruiz Rosales was the brother of my grandfather, Roberto. Avelino was two years older than Roberto. They inherited the factory of their father, Donato Ruiz Ocampo after he died in 1917. Avelino & Roberto were born in El Arenal, Jalisco; about 30 minutes from Guadalajara, and they became very famous with several brands of Tequila: Arenal, El Rey, El Numero Uno, Providencia, Viuda de Martinez, Sin Rival, Olmeca, Mariachi, Viuda de Rosales, Tequila Domeqc (yes it is correct, there were once a Tequila Domecq), and several more that today are owned by somebody else not belonging to the family or just not produced.

Avelino Ruiz, S.A. was the name of the Company of my grand-uncle Avelino and wasn't actually a brand. However he put his name as both the company and brand in the bottle.

I am actually the owner and producer of the following brands of Tequila: Don Avelino, Avelino Ruiz, and Los Ruiz. At this time I am working on launching all three of them and hopefully they will be available for the public.

Finally, there has never been a brand of tequila Avelino Ruiz. This will be the very first time that it will be produced with that brand's name.

I will be happy to answer any of your questions.

Sincerely yours,

Avelino Ruiz Amezcua
Fourth generation of Los Ruiz family of tequila producers.
