Re: Coach House SJC
The show was great, 100% acoustic. Al came on late, around ten o'clock with his lead guitar player Dave Nachmanoff, who is absolutely brilliant. Two guys no one knows opened the show, they weren't bad for a sound check. Steve Forbert came on around eight thirty and did an hour set, another awesome acoustic performer and story teller.
The bar lacked badly, I ended up drinking gin all night, the chicken was run of the mill and the 'prison chow hall' seating arrangement suuuuucked! Although it did offer the opportunity to meet whoever you were sitting right next to. It was a good thing the show was so great otherwise I would have been sadly disappointed in the whole evening.
Oh yeah, next time I'll have no problem bringin' in my own liquor if they seat us like that again.
