Default Private Home Bar

Out of curiosity, what would happen if I were to purchase 10 bottles of tequila, and send out 20-30 invitations to people inviting them to come to a Private Tequila Bar to drink. I would charge 25-30 bucks per person and the proceeds would be generated back into buying more tequila to do the same thing....over and over....

Would the city/state get upset with me?

If you are charging money and / or selling alcohol without the appropriate license, yes, most likely you will upset someone.

I'm inviting people to a party, in which you donate 30.00 to get in the door. The proceeds just go for more tequila

I doubt I'd do it, plus I dont know 30 people that would pay 30.00 to come drink tequila with me....but it sounded fun.

Best to charge for "food" and have Tequila available for sampling...

If it were possible for me to get that many people, I would.

30 people, at 30.00 a person is 900.00

If I spent 400 on tequila initially with my 10 bottles, I could spend 500 the next time. And unless everyone had 7-8 shots apiece, there would be leftover tequila....

If I did this 10 times I could probably have a decent size private bar. But like I said, it wouldnt be possible for me to really do this, if anyone else could....serve tacos all night and get it started!

Tequila Joe has a Friday night tasting at a bar in his area. He charges a very reasonable amount for that weeks flight and the proceeds go to charity...all legit.
My pesonal opinion, is expanding your pesonal collection at the cost of others is a bad idea You should try having a tequila party where you make up a list of tequila's and have each guest bring one of the bottles off the list to share, that way no one is paying you and if they choose to leave the remainder, then you get a bonus.
