Default Need Boiler help...any plumbers here?

I've been having problems with my boiler and was wondering if anyone here is a plumber and could answer some questions. I think I have it narrowed down and can probably replace the parts myself, but just wanted to ask an expert. Thanks

I'm not a plumber, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night....

Ask away, you might be surprised to find out what people do know.

Ok, this past summer the boiler wouldn't keep runnung, I would have to go down and press the reset button to get it going and it would be fine for a couple of days and then I'd have to do it all over again. So after trying to clean the nozzle and the electrodes, I thought I fixed it, but that only lasted about a month. So a friend of mine suggested the drive motor was dirty, so I pulled it out cleaned it up, cleaned the interior of the motor housing and vents. I put it back together and it worked, my plumber came a month later to do a tune-up and checked everything and said it looked fine. It worked great until about a week ago and the same thing is happening, I think it's either the drive motor, the ignition transformer or the oil pump.

Well earlier today I decided to pull the motor out again and tear it down and clean it again. So far it's still running but I think it'll go again. That why I wanted to ask a plumber or oil-burner tech., to see if my problem can be fixed myself and not have to pay a plumber ridiculous amounts of money if it's something I can just swap out. Luckily there are a few places near me that carry all plumbing and heating parts like the ones mentioned.

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.
