Tequila in the $25-30 range.

The bar I drink at these days only has Patron Tequila. For some reason I get awful hangovers from Patron- I normally drink Jon Julio or Tres Gen with no hangover issues.

They have agreed to bring in other tequilas on my request. They have asked it to be lower priced then Patron.

Any recommendations on a brand that is fairly readily available (upstate NY) and in the $25-30 price range. Will be going with both a blanco and a repo.

I have always found Patron to be very clean and never had nasty hangovers. Then again, I haven't had any hangovers in many years - the trick is to stick to the top shelf brands and gulp down about 1 or 2-Liters of water while drinking throughout the evening; NOT all at once before sleep.
I found Los Trejos (Silver) to be very nice. I would even rate it a little above Patron.

I agree with Los Trejos Silver being a better tequila than Patron. It also retails for half the price! It has good pedigree...NOM 1137.
