Default Tequila stand outs

OK people, let's hear your all out, most unique tequila profile choices. These are tequilas that "to you" are stand outs as singular solitary examples of unmatched uniqueness out there. Old or new, treasure or not, tequila that is most NOT like the rest. This is not about your favorites as much as it it is about the tequilas that have the most stand alone taste and nose profiles. From what you've tasted, what is your most distinguished tequila experience?

Every time I taste El Tesoro white label all ages, which isn't often enough, (I have one of each, and making them last) I realize that this stuff is magic. Any time I come back to it after several weeks of drinking various other worthy tequilas I realize that part of it's appeal is that nothing else I drink is close to it's profile. There are many close seconds but the ETWL stands out to me.

Yeah the older Denton white labels...all flavors... were a thing of beauty! I tell people that the blanco is what the true escence of tequila should be. I must say that there is one other blanco out there...a true treasure...that really blows me away....1921 blanco! NOM 1079 of course! IMHO, it's almost like they took a whole roasted pina and somehow stuffed it inside this little bottle! Every once in a while I pour just a little bit and sip and savor it. It has unbelievable intense agave notes with such a pleasant mouthfeel and finish! Too bad that NOM 1535 hasn't captured that same intensity. The new stuff is just a shell of what it once was.
One other brand that I would like to add to this topic would be El Tesoro 70th Anniversary XA. Up until this point of my tequila journey, I have NEVER sampled a finer aged agave spirit! I like this XA so much that I must say if I was trapped on a deserted island, and had to choose one tequila, it's safe to say that ET 70th would be my likely choice!

IMHO, Fortaleza stands out from other great Tequilas....I have tasted several lots and I feel safe enought to say that this Tequila is one of the best out there. I cant wait to someday taste an XA and I also agree with ETWL's Chinaco(Denton) and 1921 (NOM1079) they are all great Tequilas and I keep all of those in stock in my house BTW, lets not forget Casa Noble Tequila.....Very very good Tequila and Unique!!!! I completely agree on the assesment of the ET 70th, it is the most unique & tasty juice i have had. I was lucky enough to find a sale on this for $109 a bottle. After tasting it i went back for bottle #2 the next day. Is it my absolute favorite, good question, thats when Casa Noble 5yr and DH 1942 are to be mentioned...

While I do agree on the merits of the tequila's mentioned before I must admit my favorite sipper last summer was a Siete Leguas D'Antano {sp?}. It was so smooth, yet still could taste the agave. A hats off also to Casa Noble 7 year old. Wow! What chocolate overtones. When you can smell it and then the taste comes through. A definite late night wonder sampled in a snifter.

One of the more likeable, distinct tequilas I've had by far is Tequila Ocho Plata (2009 I think). It had a nice up front agave presence to me with a very unique peppery taste behind it that I really liked. Very pronounced. It was different from anything I have tasted so far. I'm normally an anejo guy and my fiance the blanco gal, but I love this one. I ordered 3 bottles when Seth put them on special, had to, not a difficult choice at all. Now if I can just get them down to New Zealand and out of my parents place in the states!!
