Default JB Wagoners

For the Superbowl, it being the all American game, I decided to celebrate it with some "American Tequila". I had picked up a JB Wagoners Anejo on Ebay. It was quite different tasting, my brother thought it reminded him of the bottle of Sotol we had tried. I pretty much enjoyed it but need to give it another try this weekend. Anyone else try this brand (Not listed or reviewed yet) and have any impressions?

Hi Rick, I have been wanting to try this brand for a while, but like you said there were no reviews. Isn't it a 100 proof? How smooth is it? Please try it again and give us more.

I personally haven't tried any of those "agave spirits". There is a bottle of the blanco up for bids on Ebay right now for $40.00 plus $15.00 shipping. A little too pricey for me mainly because of the unknown factor.

I have tried the blanco literally years ago - before they had brought the anejo to market - and my memory on taste / quality was more of a ho hum. I didn't find it to be either especially bad or especially good, but will give it another try. I have had the anejo on a "buy" list but have managed to find other bottles I wanted more.

I tried this at last years ECTF and I was not impressed. Not really much like a good tequila but more out in left field by itself sort of thing. Personally I would not buy it, unless you were looking for something different in a wierd testing way. Just my 2 cents.
