Default Bunch of Tequilas New to WA state

Was down at the Crown Hill store the other day and saw the following on the shelf:
Regional Anejo, Reposado and Blanco
Azunia Anejo, Reposado and Blanco
Corrido Cristalino, Reposado, Anejo and Extra Anejo
Alien Tequila Silver and Reposado

Manana Blanco showed up a few weeks ago as a one-time only stock item with 200 cases available at various locations around Puget Sound. The Crown Hill store had the Reposado and the Anejo in stock.

Tierras Blanco is at the Shoreline S. store and the new store in Mukilteo had Pueblo Viejo Orgullo, but sold out quickly. The store manager, Nancy says she has several cases coming in but if the state gets voted out of the liquor business next week at the polls who knows.

Finally a bunch of stores have received inventory of El Charro Silver and Reposado which is selling for $16.95 for 750ml. It is scheduled to go on sale in November for $2 off that price.

Enjoy

I wonder what the state will do with all the liquor they have in the State run stores? :-)

From what I hear that ballot initiative should be pretty interesting. If it passes there are a lot of states where big retailers will try to open up those markets as well. And it has the added benefit of cutting prices for the consumer.

Note that I said New to WA state, not me in particular. I definitely like it having ordered it in from CA several times and picking up a half dozen bottles when we drove to Vegas earlier this year.

To Paul G
I was just wondering myself what would happen to all the bottles in the state stores if either initiative passes. Yes on 1100 is what I am doing as well. The 1105 initiative is just a distributor sham. Wonder what would happen if they both passed?

Wonder what would happen if they both passed? It would end up in court and take a year or two to settle.

Yeah, unfortunately I have to order it from CA as well, would be nice to save on shipping though, being 3000 miles away the cost is crazy. It's almost time for a new order, only one bottle left from the last shipment.

I am waiting impatiently for Washington's results. Being from Oregon, we have the same system of liquor procurement. I do agree that if it does {it should} pass, it will probably be in the courts for quite awhile.
If it does pass in Washington I hope that Oregon follows.

If it passes in Washington it should pass in Oregon as well. Over 70% of all the liquor sold in Oregon, is sold in the Portland metro area. Where will Portland people go to buy liquor? Vancouver Washington right across the Columbia river. That will force Oregon to change also (losing all the liquor tax dollars to Washinton) plus you don't have State owned liquor stores in Oregon with state empolyees running them. In Oregon the state only supplies the liquor to the stores they do not own the stores. It should be easier to change the law in Oregon.Lets hope this passes in Washington!

Well, it looks like this initiative has failed to pass :-( My only thought is that people are just afraid of changing the status quo.
