Default Justin Timberlake adds 901 Tequila to his portfolio

I guess if it gets more people to drink Tequila... but still...
It better be good!

Justin Timberlake is expanding his brand... again. The singer/producer/designer will soon be able to add Tequila maker to his resume.

JT is reportedly in talks to launch his own collection of Tequila. He recently toured a Mexican distillery tasting various kinds of tequila.

A rep for the JT confirms, "This was one of his many meetings over the last two years in development of his tequila business."

So in the next year or so you'll be able to hang out in a pair of William Rast jeans, listen to his album, while watching one of his commercials on TV and do shots of JT Tequila. Watch out Diddy, there's a new mogul in town!

If the juice is good, then so be it....there is nothing wrong with new lines of tequilas.

I think Justin should leave tequila to the people that do it. When really rich people try to get even richer, I dont know, it just makes me ill. Greed is what I call it.

Stick to music Justin. You dont want tequila makers dancing and making music do you?

I wont be buying it, I dont care how good it is.

Look at P. Diddy....he takes a LARGE part in the creation of Ciroc vodka which is not by any means great but its definently above average. I am not a vodka drinker and only know most of the popular brands. But he does not put his name or any association on the Ciroc label but he does play a huge role in the creation, marketing and distribution of Ciroc Vodka.

If JT can do what P. Diddy did for Vodka, whats wrong with that? Some people have the money to buy into businesses like the liquor industry. I never will but that doesnt mean others can't try.

So I honestly can't knock it till I try it. I've tried Sammys Cabo Wabo, and never have gotten around to trying Vince Neils tequila but I would rate them as average. I dont think Sammy plays a role in the company but its possible JT can or will.

For the tequila world, this just means more popularity for our "already getting famous" spirit. If JT can endorse a quality brand, whats wrong with that?...even if he doesnt play a role. That just means another good tequila for us to drink that someone else didnt have the money to try with!

The rich keep getting richer! Personally, I do not have much of a problem with celebrities putting their money into the liquor industry as long as they truely believe that the quality is representative of their name. When it becomes solely a money making venture then they can keep their product. In Sammy Hagar's case, I think that he really believed in the taste & quality of his juice(IMO). I enjoy a sip of Cabo Wabo every now and then, particularly the anejo. I have tried Vince Neil's Tres Rios blanco and it was just okay for me. I will eventually give the repo & anejo a try. We will all have to wait and see on JT's juice. Hopefully he will have the same passion for tequila that he seems to have for his music!

Ciroc was aound for a long time before P. Diddy got involved. Diageo did everything in their power to sell Ciroc and nothing worked until he got involved. Sammy Haggar started Cabo long before it was popular for celebs to get involved in liquor, which is a good things. He also made a boat load of money when he sold the brand, but I heard he was very involved in the company when he owned it. Timberlake...what can you say? Good or bad...if it sells it sells.

I've heard the same thing about Sammy as well, he really was into the whole process. I have never tried it and wonder if the juice is still the same since he sold it.

P Diddy is all about money, not the product. Its a well known fact that he prefers 1800 tequila to the vodka hes signed on to. If fact, hes been 'reprimanded' many times by the vodka company for drinking the 1800 in photos when he is supposed to be drinking the Vodka.

Anyway, if its just a money making venture, I wish JT would push something else.

and totally, while Cabo isnt my favorite, its a fact that Sammy just didnt sign on, he was part of the whole process and truly loves tequila. Everyone knew that even before he created Cabo Wabo.

THats what bugs me, has ANYONE heard of JT and his 'passion' for tequila. Ive never heard him say anything about it.

Im sure Beyonce has a passion for Time Warner cable too.

Imagine if you did a blind taste test and loved JT's tequila.
