A good, solid value brand tequila that delivers great value for the price.
Aroma: Agave and fruit.
Initial Taste: Sweet. Decent light agave flavor, no harshness or bitterness.
Body: Semi-oily. A touch of wood, fruit to compliment the agave.
Finish: Nothing special. Short, very little linger.
For $15 or so a bottle, this is a great one to have around as an every day sipper or to mix. The reposado makes a great margarita and paloma. It's amazing that anyone would buy a mixto with a 100% agave drink of this quality floating around for the same price or less.

First of all, what a steal at under $15 for this bottle. And that was in the "expensive liquor store".
Light blonde in color. Moderate viscosity in the glass (tasting out of a white wine glass 'cos I'm on vacation and that's all we have here). The nose presents a good agave presence, along with citrus (and maybe some mineral) notes and scant warm caramel and spice background. Intake follows through on these elements, and the mouthfeel is of moderate weight. What little bitterness that remains in the slight finish provides a nice balance to fruit and agave; there's far less of an alcohol burn than I was expecting.
Strikes me as one of many tequilas that present such a great value that you can just drink it and enjoy it without having to really really think about it as you do so!

El Ultimo Agave Reposado, NOM 1522. One of my best 100% agave finds for $ and quality to date. Beautiful golden amber color, pronounced agave nose, light, smoky-sweet agave with hints of caramel & oak flavors carry into the overall taste. The finish is on the short side of medium but not so short as to dissipate into a fading, floral essence. I was pleasantly surprised on how smooth this tequila is with absolutely no alcohol burn whatsoever, making it a rival of many higher priced reposado's. Tequila.net has an old picture of the bottle. It has since changed to a cork & wood topped, hand-blown, etched relief piece of art that is worthy of display on any bar. This tequila is worth your time & effort to find & at $14.99 makes it even more desirable.

Tasted out of a snifter. This very well may be the best value at $12.99 a bottle. The lowest price I've seen for a any 100% agave tequila. Theres nothing complex about this tequila, but thats not a bad thing.
Aroma: A decent fruity agave nose.
Initial Taste: Semi oily mouth feel. A sweet entry with no bitterness.
Body: Again, a decent body of agave, slight caramel, and fruit.
Finish: A short unheated finish with a fruity lingering.
Like I said, nothing too complex, but for $12 bux, a darn good deal.
