NOM 1438 has made a lot of really good budget tequilas. Los Azulejos and Casa Maestri are the premium lines from the distillery...let's see if Casa Maestri is worth the premium price

Aroma: Light aroma of cooked sweet agave, vanilla and a hint of light fruit.
Initial Taste: Cooked agave and vanilla. Almost a bit watery.
Body: Simple combination of agave, oak, vanilla and spices.
Finish: A medium-long finish with oak & chocolate being the most prominent. A decent finish, but nothing too noteworthy.

This is a decent tequila, but not too much to rave about. Thin bodied and a bit watery, but has a nice oaky agave linger at the finish. It’s fine, but I wouldn’t tell people to hurry out and buy it...especially not at the premium price. The bottle looks great, but hopefully you're shopping for good tequila, not a $65 bar piece.
