Ojai, CA Tequila Tasting

To all who love good food and a tasty Tequila to wash it down.

You are invited to our second Tequila Tasting in Ojai, CA.

Where: The Ojai Culinary Studio (http://www.ojaiculinary.com/)
When: Saturday Jan. 19, 2008 at 6:30 pm till 10:00pm or so
Cost: $50 to $70 (Check with Nancy)
Seating: Up to 19 seats will be available

To Drink: 4 Copas Tequila Blanco, Reposado and Anejo (Thank you both, Chris and Bruce)
Casa Noble Tequila Crystal, Reposado and Anejo
Hacienda de Chihuahua Sotol, Anejo
Del Maguey single village Mescal from San Luis del Rio

To Eat: Puerco Pibil
Birria
Arroz con Pepitas
Frijoles negros
To finish it off (Torta De Cielo) served with slivered almonds sautéed in agave nectar, butter, amaretto and tequila.

(The menus are subject to change if I can not find the right ingredient or I drink a particular bottle before the tasting, just kidding about the last part)

Bruce Dennerline from 4Copas will be joining us at the tasting with in depth information about the 4 Copas Tequila.

I'm definitely interested. Is this a cooking class where we participate? Or just watch? Also - that hotel doesn't seem to allow 1 night booking over the internet. Everything says 2 night minimum. :P

The Ojai Inn has one night stays availible, the Sunido Inn is closer, but does require a 2 night stay, that may change as the days get closer. I will make a few calls and see what we can do. Nancy at Ojai Culinary has a relationship with them. I have stayed there before, very nice.

I am doing most of the cooking, but may have room for some help earlier in the day for 1-2 people. I will be there most of the day saterday starting as I arrive from LA. There is not enough room to get everyone involved. This is mainly a Demo and Drink (Sip) event, Sorry.

Not at all. I've taken some culinary classes with my wife and we enjoy them. But I am not disappointed as I enjoy watching people cook as well.
