El Tesoro & Carlos Camarena in Monterey

I just got this on my Facebook. This is for anyone in the bay area. Carlos Camarena will be in Monterey on September 14 at Lopez Restaurant & Cantina. There is going to be a dinner pairing with El Tesoro tequila. It will be a four course meal, including the desert. The tequila will be El Tesoro's blanco, reposado, anejo, and the 70th Anniversary extra-anejo. Tickets are limited and are available at Lopez Liquors in Monterey or at the Restaurant. Dont mean to hijack your thread Ralph but thought you may want to join our tasting as well. We are also doing a dinner with Carlos on Monday the 12th at La Pinata in San Jose. The only difference is we will be featuring 3 different brands. We will taste Blanco , repo, anejo, and 70th of El Tesoro with Carlos Camarena the master distiller of El Tesoro. Then we will taste Sauza Tres Generaciones with the Sauza Global Tequila ambassador followed by a 3G's margarita made with thatchers organic liquor with a discussion with the creator of thatchers. It will be a 3 course meal as well. The cost is $60 before the event and $75 at the door. Hope you can make it

Why does all this stuff need to happen on a work day? You guys need to work on getting these events on weekends or non working holidays.
But there may be a good side to all of this. If Carlos is free for the weekend then I will just have him over at my house for an unlimited course meal and tequila pairing.

Darnit! I'll be in the Bay Area on the 14th but will miss the fun- no chance that I'll be able to get down to Monterey. Hopefully those that can make it will let us know how the events go, and if Carlos has any news about the El Tesoro brand or if Tapatio will be made available here in the US.

No problem on the hijack! Sorry I will not be able to make it, I have a previous commitment that same evening. Please let me know about the next tasting, my family and I really enjoyed ourselves the last time we went.
