Default ebay late 11800 bottle of jose cuervo centenario extra-vintage

I'm just trying to figure out how much this is worth-the highest bidder gets it regardless of asking price...

Wow, 25,000.00?

I think that may be a bit much....we'll see.

Is this the same bottle and cork/cap?

When did NOM's first appear?

I believe they started printing NOM on bottles in 1978. Before that it was DGN (Direccion General de Normas).* Centenario removed the Cuervo name sometime in the 1990s if I remember correctly. So I think you are looking at a bottle that is in the 20-30 year old range. Certainly not over 100 years old as you claim. It's also a mixto which makes sense for a 20 year old bottle of Centenario.

Perhaps someone with a bit more knowledge of the history of Cuervo could elaborate.

Could you tell us what research you did or your sources for believing this bottle is from the late 1800s?

We have seen some bottles previously and one looks identical to this one and he says it is 60 years old. As for truly knowing, we would need a Cuervo expert. Here are some of the previous links on this forum:

I would say the bottles on this link are older (check out the Centenario):

Well I have e-mailed Cuervo directly so let's see what they come up with.

Joe, do you know anything more about the NOM situation? Seems like it would be a big clue if we knew the year they started printing it on labels.

Now that looks like an old bottle of Centenario.

I do not but they have also started talking about this on the other forum. I would tend to believe Ian because he like to do a lot of research. Not to mention 1978 was the year I was born so it is easy for me to remember. You could probably email the CRT and find out for sure tho.

Cuervo e-mailed me back saying they "forwarded my question to the appropriate department". So we'll see.
