I thought Palin was great but gave me what I already expected. The problem I saw was if you were "for" Palin/McCain already than you vote probably stands but it wasnt enough to swing a vote...

If you are still stuck in the middle much like me and a lot of America; much question still lingers in the air on who you should feel will lead America right...

I expected for Biden to use his knowledge of government to patronize Sarah more and I thought he was much more respectful than I assumed before the debate.

One thing that bothers me is the way the media portrays elections these days...its hard to form your own solid opinion without being swayed by what you read, watch, and listen too...and most of the time you arent hearing the canidates speak; you are listening to everyone "critique" everything that is said and left confused...

I dont want to get too opinionated in here because I can go off on my soap box forever and more than likely my opinions differ from yours. It was a good debate and so was the Obama/McCain debate...McCain is one hell of an american and he has already proven that. I feel like Obama is one hell of a speaker and the celebrity of the bunch...but what does that really mean these days?

Everyone knows you don't drink Tequila and discuss politics

I agree with you BN, it's hard to form an opinion and try and make the right choice with all the nonsense on tv, ads etc.

However, being that McCain is 72, the chances of Palin being president increase significantly. Scary thought since tonight she proved she can basically speak well as long as she studies and you ask her about ENERGY. I think she's wrong about being a Washington Outsider. She knows how to avoid questions and change the subject. The qualities of a true politician. She might also want to get the Country's General's names right. I think Mr. Biden was very gracious in not tearing her apart. He could have shred her to pieces.

She is prettier than Biden

Doggone it...You Betcha...Bullwinkle

My thoughts exactly. I vote we all have a glass of our favorite tequila and then make margaritas until we can't remember who's running for what office.

Much agreed!

By the way, did anyone else find the mispronunciation of the word "Nuclear" on Palins behalf amusing...or how she kept referring to John McCain as "Maverick" a bit too "Top Gun"?...lol

Maybe her Wasilla 3rd graders can give her a shout out and remind her that "when in doubt, just sound it out".

Palin is a moron. A gimmick from the Republican party trying to do everything in their power to make us forget about the last 8 years and a man that history will brand the "worst president America ever had". God help us if she (or McCain) were ever to become president.

Here is where I stand on the executive branch. With the exception of skirting laws and the constitution for personal gain, the only REAL things the president does are 1) be a figure head in international policy; and 2) APPOINT SUPREME COURT JUSTICES! Number 2 being the single most important thing a president can do as Supreme Court Justices can change the constitution. You cannot... CANNOT have a republican supreme court. The new republican party takes away personal rights in favor of corporate gain.

We are actually living in a much more dangerous time than people might want to believe. And the danger has nothing to do with terrorism - unless you are talking about the terrorism that our own government uses against us in order to fatten up their own pocketbooks.

I GUARANTEE you that no one who supports the republican party has actually done their research and knows what the republican party stands for. And I'm not talking about religion and "morality". The government should not be dealing with those issues anyway. I'm talking about actual economic and foreign policies. The republican party blinds middle america with issues like gay marriage and abortion in order to take their minds off the real issues like energy independence, health care, and a debt to China that is virtually unrecoverable.

If republicans continue to govern, the first to be hard hit will be the lower class (the people they duped into voting for them in the first place) - ingenious really.

Enough ranting. I need a drink.

This is a great article...I guess I can stick it in this thread because its politically relevant. Its a futuristic look at the nation.
