Default Surgery sucks!!!!

I had my foot surgery yestreday and it sucked. I had a lisfranc fracture repaired and they had to put 5 screws in my foot. Originally it was supposed to be 2 hours and it turned into 5 because it it was more damaged and needed 5 screws instead of the 2, I was originally told. I just hope that it doesn't bother me the rest of my life and need more surgery. Thank goodness for Percoset for the pain right now.

I had fallen down a 7 step flight of stairs in my house and must have rolled over the foot as I went down. I don't remember too much, it was after midnight and I was a little buzzed...maybe more than a little. I can't even blame the tequila because I hadn't even had any yet.

I just hope I'm well enough to drive to Florida by the middle of August. I really look foward to that trip each year, the tequila prices are usually better than around me.

Default New guy here...sympathy

Had a compound fracture of my right foot last year...I can sympathize. Even though the doc had to put a couple of bones back in my foot, yours sounds worse than mine. Hang in there and use the opportunity to do some tasting (once you're off the percoset) ;-)

Thanks, AC, I have never felt pain like this and I hope I never do again. I just hope to walk again without crutches. I never thought peeing and showering would get so complicated until I was a really old man.

It's those little things that we take for granted...follow your doc's orders and hang in there. Patience is tough to come by. It seemed like forever when I was healing up, but now I'm playing golf, walking AND carrying my bag...time does heal all wounds;-)
