Day of the Dead - Trip to Oaxaca / Mexico City

We have been talking about a trip to Oaxaca for a couple of years now and I think we are about ready to get the plans rolling...

This would be for the The Day of the Dead (El Día de los Muertos) celebration at the end of October, beginning of November. We were thinking of spending a couple of days in Mexico City to start, and then flying into Oaxaca for the celebration, and visit some Mezcal distilleries as well.

This is the beginning of the planning, and I'm curious to see what kind of interest there would be from TEQUILA.net members. There are several people here in Colorado interested in going, restaurant owners, etc.

Let me know if you are interested and we start the discussions on where we would stay, distillery options, costs, etc.

We are planning a trip to MX for the Thanksgiving week. I'm guessing the 2 don't overlap.

Ironically enough, me and my girlfriend are flying to Cancun in November and driving to Chichen Itza to see the Mayan ruins.
