Default Felicidades

Pale Rider will be enjoying a lovely caballito of El Tesoro Tequila Reposado to celebrate. Maybe dos caballitos. Maybe tres.

I'm going with my Casa Noble Reposado (ceramic bottle). I just realized looking at it that it's been a while.

My local liquor store had a Tequila tasting last year, but none this year. Its a shame because they had a ton of vendors and I got to try several new ones. And totally abuse the DJ 1942 tastings.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Casa Noble Reposado for me this evening.

I just told Pina that Casa Noble is my line of the week.

That and Cuervo Gold...

Just kidding!

Thank you all, for being here. You help make this life a more enjoyable trip!

Grateful,
Garret

I made some triple decker quesadillas with some pulled pork I had smoked earlier in the week with some margaritas made with Oro Azul blanco. Later on in the evening I sipped some El Tesoro Paradiso... first time, it was magnificent!!! Happy Cinco de Mayo to all!!!

There must be a trick to smoking pork. I've tried... But for the life of me, it just won't stay lit.

On the 4th and 5th I enjoyed Casa Noble Crystal and El Tesoro Anejo. It was a smack down! And ETA won! I realized this Cinco de Mayo that I prefer the reposado's and anejo's over the blanco's. Occasionally, an exceptional blanco comes along (such as the 1921 blanco (NOM 1079) with the real cork/not easy to open bottle, just prior to the last bottling before changing NOMs) and at those times I've actually convinced myself I prefer the blanco over their other great products. But then the bottle you love becomes hard to find or goes out of production and you're left searching again. People have to really rave and rave about the blanco now to get me to try it over the reposado or anejo of the same brand.
