Great Article...

Production is clearly rising at an exponentially.

With additional supply, at least in the near term, lower prices could prevail for Premium Brands. Keep Fingers Crossed!

Thanks for the article. I see that David Suro of Siembra Azul, who I meet at his resturant in Philly was quoted in the article. I hope what he says in the article is not true for the future of farming. That would be devastating to the tequila industry, if farmers turn there crops into anything other than Agave.

I am going to keep my eyes open for the Dos Lunas Grand Reserva 10 year. If anyone knows where I might get a bottle, please let me know

I don't think its gonna happen, right now the farmers are selling their fields for pennies barely making a profit. Prices haven't come down yet, and the "premium" high priced market is growing with allot of new entries into the market. Like the Dos Lunas $2500! is it worth it? It may be good but I haven't tasted anything yet that is $2500 good and I have tasted some good tequilas.

Its sad, prices should come down, but its just more profit for the producers. Why would they drop prices when we are already willing to pay the prices we pay now. I can guarantee we will see them go up when there is a shortage again.
