Default Tequila Avion sampler

Don't know if any of you out there have seen this yet, we just got them in at our shop. Not a bad deal if you ask me. I picked one up, their Anejo is pretty enjoyable.

I see them listed on NC's site but have yet to see them in a store. Given the price here for the Blanco of $45, the minis are about the same price per ounce as the 750s would be (if NC had them all which we don't).

I would definitely pick one of these up if I see them. A pretty good deal given that a mini of the comparably priced Patron silver is $6.45 in NC.

There is a comparable deal here on Balvenie Scotch - a 3-pack of minis of the 12 yr doublewood, 15 yr and 21 yr at $19.65 - about the same price per ounce as the 750s. It was nice to be able to try the 21 yr without springing for the $170 bottle, or paying $30-35 in a bar for a shot (if you can find it.)

Unhappy Tequila Avion sampler

I was at Ramirez liquor today & decided to buy some Tequila avion sampler,
to give it a chance! I bought the repo & the anejo. I was somewhat dissapointed in the anejo! Maybe I was expecting to much! since lately I been
drinking EL TESORO anejo. But this was the first anejo that Ive tasted that had a strong agave taste, not to much burn going down but a caramel finish. not one of my favorites, but it was worth tasting. Maybe I should not expect
to much on my next bottle. And better just be surprised!!

Has anyone else tried Avion yet? From what I remember, the 750's were priced high at the store I was in recently, but they had blanco and rep 50ml for $4 each, so I got them. Too bad they didn't have the 3 pack sampler.

The reposado isn't bad, but so far I'm not overly impressed, considering the cost. It is smooth, but also maybe slightly peppery (but I'm no tasting note pro), which I'm never a fan of. If the 750's were in the 30 dollar range (or less), it would definitely be a tequila worth getting.

I got the 3-bottle sampler set for $9.99 on the way to a Xmas party last month. I had not planned on sharing it, but needless to say, I broke it out at the party. Sharing 50ml bottles doesn't leave a lot to taste, but as I recall it was 'ok'. It's so hard to get a good tasting experience from minis. I was not inspired to go purchase a 750 since it is a little pricey, but I would like to try a 'real' taste of it before passing judgment.

I recall I tried Avion about a year or so ago. My impression was that is was just OK - nothing really special. I don't believe I have tried it again since - might be time.

Exclamation Tequila Avion sampler

I tried Avion anejo about 4 months ago on a 50ml you guys are right a sampler is not enogh. I ordered the 3 bottle sampler @ hi time liquor. I am a little cheap, [Maybe not cheap just careful with my money] so I will try the
sampler again. I can't believe that I tasted chamucos @ the tequila expo in tijuana & kept on going to the chinaco stand. just to later taste chamucos &
really enjoy this tequila. now its one of my favorites! And I could of bought it for $80 pesos a bottle no limit!!
Learned my lesson, from now on, dont rush it give it some time! just like a new girlfriend get to know her! In other words stop & taste the juice!!
