Of your suggested list, I have only tried the 4 Copas Anejo which is a solid buy - you will be delighted. Some anejos I have enjoyed are Partida, CN Single Barrel, Aha Toro, Los Tres Tonos, and Afamado. On my own To Buy list are: Fortaleza/Los Abuelos, Kah, Corrido, Chamucos and Pechocha.
If you want to throw in something delightful, the Clase Azul Reposado is not only beautiful (blue and white talavera bottle) but uniquely delicious. I admire your wholeheartedness in tequila purchasing. Colour me impressed! |

Of the ones you mentioned I have had: Hacienda de la Flor Anejo - liked a lot ,El Charro Anejo - Okay, good value, 4 copas - top notch a regular buy for me, tonala (cermaic Bottle) - solid, Los Azulejos Anejo - I would avoid this one, mine was undrinkable, KAH - pretty good tequila and a great halloween bottle, HERENCIA MEXICANA - pretty good, Frida Kahlo - used to be good, not so much lately, Dos Lunas anejo - nice and chocolately, don Fulano - nice , Don Fernando - also nice, d Los Altos - gave me a headache, Corrido Anejo and extra anejo-average

I'm an anejo guy too. Of what you listed...recently tried Hacienda de la Flor and loved it, Kah, like it quite a bit and a cool bottle makes a great deal, Frida never liked it, Dos Lunas like it a lot, have the corrido extra anejo and like it a lot too.
Other anejo favorites for me would be Aha Toro, Oro Azul, Ocho is beautiful, El Tesoro (including the 70th anni), Don Valente, Siete Leguas amazing and good value, and JLP the Presidents tequila. All of those are some of the tops on my personal list. Enjoy trying them out. |

Tres Rios is good and not too expensive. El Tequileno would be another good one as well. |

Your request for anejos, I just attended A Tequila expo in Baja.I tasted about
15 different tequilas & I really Enjoyed CHINACO anejo. I like the taste of anejos also, but the Arrette blanco suave to me is some good juice. it has the taste of the blanco & the smoothness of the anejo. loved this juice. hope this helps!

We have a bottle of the Arette Suave blanco and it is an extremely nice blanco. We've had the bottle for nearly 2 and half years before we opened it and the floral hints that have emerged from the bottle are amazing!!! Super smooth and quite good, I must admit.
But to keep on track, I quite like the regular Arette anejo as well, one I recommend to new tasters down here in NZ. |
