I realise that there are going to be differences between every batch, but I also expect some consistency in each label's taste.
I have recently had 2 bottles of Don Julio repo, 1 was great, 1 I would MAYBE use for margaritas. The good one was bought in Vegas duty free, had a red box and a cork. The not so good one was bought in Canada (for 2x the price) has a gold box with red lettering, and one of the craptasic plastic poor spouts. How can one be confidant that he gets what he pays for, a premium tequila, not a tequila that barely tastes better than the crap they serve at the local watering hole? |
