Default Mistico

On a recent trip to Cancun, the resort gave us two free bottles ot tequila per person to take home. One of my bottles broke in my suitcase (thank you American Airlines), but the label on the bottles is Mistico.

The labels are written in espanol, but I don't see anything that looks like a reference to 100% agave. Should I assume this stuff is crap? It has a very unique flavor which is good for comparison tastings, but I'm guessing since it was free that it couldn't have been good stuff.

Internet searches on 'Mistico tequila' have Jose Cuervo references, and the label does say something about Casa Cuervo, so maybe it is one of their lines.

The tequila has a very woody, almost peaty flavor. I don't taste any fruity or savory tones at all.

The brand Mistico is registered to Cuervo. I've never tried it...

You can look up brands in the NOM database to see where they are made, and see other brands from the same distillery:
