Hi guys,
New reader....old drinker
I am glad to have found this forum because I was perusing some ebay listings and found alcapone-jr selling Herradura Seleccion Suprema for $200 (plus $15 shipping). I guess I'm wondering if the juice is the real deal....
We have this product available in town (Houston, TX) but the prices I'm seeing are all over $300. Do anyone think it's worth the risk to buy a bottle from this seller to save $100?
I've never tasted HSS so I won't have a reference to know if the juice is the real deal or not. I know it's not "rare" or "unavailable" unless you count a bottle that doesn't have any US taxes paid on it.
Maybe I should also ask if anyone thinks I will like this tequila. My tastes run towards the softer/smoother/sweeter sippers, and so far the Casa noble Single Barrel Reserve Extra Anejo has been my alltime favorite (when I can find it). I think the DJ1042 is great as well, if almost too soft and sweet.
But I also enjoy fuller-body spirits like JCRF (2009 tiger box), and last night I was sipping Riazul Anejo for the spicy complex profile.
Anyway...sorry for the long winded first post and thanks in advance to anyone who may have an opinion to share on this.
Cheers,
Jon
