Fun survey!

I personally like Ceviche with a blanco. I get a form as an appetizer with chips or on tostadas locally. It goes great with a blanco before dinner, usually the rich taste of an anejo is best served after dinner. I also like guacamole with a blanco which is more readily available at most places you eat at...a nice soft earthy blanco that is light and sweet.

Mmm...Cinco De Mayo is around only a couple weeks off.

Cinco de Mayo Survey - TEQUILA.net
I'm thrilled to celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year with an exclusive tequila tasting at my Poolside Tequila Bar & Lounge! I am inviting a dozen (six couples) of my closest friends and will be breaking out the good stuff. Some preliminary choices (but not quite etched in stone) include: ET Blanco, Chinaco Blanco, Penca Azul Repo, Los Arangos Repo, DJ 1942, DJ Real, CN Extra Anejo, Cava Antigua Anejo, 1921 Tequila Cream......Sangrita, Fresh Squeezed Margs, etc. I actually have the date set for Sat. May 2nd. so at least everyone will have a day to recover! I will also be preparing all of the Mexican dinner fare from scratch. It's alot of preparation but I'm really looking forward to it! Salud to all!

I have had a party just about every other year for the last 10 years for Cinco de Mayo.

I am fortunate that we have a very wonderful caterer that comes in and makes fresh tortillas, beef, chicken and shrimp for tacos and enchiladas. I hire bar tenders and servers from my golf club to serve and we have a Mariachi band......it is a very fun time

I have around 100 guests and serve regular (natural) and prickly pear margaritas. I use Don Julio blanco and Honorable Blanco for the margaritas and use Don Julio Anejo and 1942 for sipping.....by the end of the party for those who hang, I break out the Herradura Suprema and the Rey Sol.

Cinco de Mayo is a highlight at my home. Unfortunately, this is one of the years we will be passing on.

I'm quite jealous of all of you. I can't remember the last time I was in the states for Cinco de Mayo. What with the touring life I had before I just was never around, and most of where I was didn't do much for it. And of course, Cinco de Mayo down under here is not too well known. Oh well. We'll probably have to do with making some tacos and mixing up some margs and digging into our stock here. At least we'll celebrate later in the month when we'll be in the states for a little bit.

We very much enjoy entertaining – and don’t need much of a reason. I really had to work hard to make sure we had tequila for St. Patrick’s Day!

Cinco de Mayo is usually one of our top parties. We are cheating a bit having a Dos de Mayo party, but agree that a day of recovery can be important. We are having about 50 people over to help celebrate and the invitations are in the mail. We are going to have prizes for the best dressed Senorita, best dressed Senor and best (clean) mexican joke.

Home made carnitas, chicken flautas, chicken enchiladas, home made tortillas (if I have enough time to make that many) and more. The highlight of course is the tequila. Currently the line up is Asombroso Blanco, Don Abraham Blanco, Casa Noble Reposado, Dos Luna’s Reposado, Don Julio Añejo and Gran Centenario Añejo and yes, the better stuff comes out for the late night sippers. I am thinking I need a trip to Ramirez to stock up – any good excuse to go to Ramirez’s.

We are going to Lola's for a Cinco BBQ and the launch of Republic Tequila. They have a great patio with a nice view of downtown Denver, should be fun!

Default basics

Carne Asada straight off a mesquite charcoal grill, frijoles pintos, homemade handmade tortillas, secret salsa, Pacificitas, and Dona Engracia blanco well chilled. 2pm to- 8pm. On a balcony overlooking Bahia de Banderas.
Never stopped eating or drinking. Cant remember a better one.
