Default What should I get?

I turn 50 in October and was looking to get a good tequila for the occasion. The best I can get in the $200-$300 that I haven't had before. I had been thinking of Chinaco Negro but lately been hearing that's not what it used to be. Already done Real and HSS. Anybody had the Negro lately? Let me know, I may just settle for another ET 70th instead. Or should I up the ante and spend a little more?

I really enjoyed the Chinaco Negro, lots 15 and 17. It is very limited, so if you can still find one between 200 and 250 I would say jump on it. Not sure what lot is out there now, but I would imagine you can still find a decent deal at ramirez or W&L depot.

I agree, you can't go wrong with the Chinaco Negro, but a few others you might want to consider are Rey Sol and Tres Quatro Cinco. I know you can get the Rey Sol for under $300....not sure about the 345.

Maybe we should have an online "Party" tasting to celebrate the big 50

How about a bottle of T1? From what I have heard that would be worthy of such a special date.

Rey Sol is a possibility but the 345 is around $400. Can't find anything on the T1 - they have a website but no info and I can't find it listed at the usual net stores. I can get the Chinaco Negro for $250 and have someone bring it back from Arizona in April fairly easily. My brother's gonna check on the lot number. The online tasting would be a blast if I could ever get the chat thing to work, I'll try to figure out the problem at the next tasting.

Mahalo for all the great advice, Rick
