Default Mezcal and the worm?

Is this just a marketing gimmick for cheap Mezcals? I know Scorpion puts a Scorpion in there bottles but I'm sure thats just to get people to purchase over something else. I have yet to try mezcal, everytime I go to get a bottle I see something else in the tequila section I want. But my rommates and stuff tell me that if you drink the worm at the bottom you'll be "trippin" all night. In my opinion if you actually make it to the worm, your probably tripping from all the alcohol, what do yall think?

Default Re: Mezcal and the worm?

More of a marketing gimmick than anything, it may give the mezcal a slightly different taste, but don't expect to get any free hallucinations out of the worm.

As with any spirit, there are good brands and not-so-good brands. Do your research before buying...
