Let me start by saying I was eager to try this tequila. My friends and I prefer reposados to blancos and anejos. The thought of an "extra aged reposado" made my mouth water. Despite the phallic shaped bottle, I still liked the presentation. Hand painted bottle, the first I've run across with a synthetic cork. The bottle I sampled cost me about $55- a little pricey for reposado. The initial aroma was almost cloying- too flowery, but not off-putting. The initial taste was decent, with a thicker-feeling body than others I've had. There was definitely a sweet (almost sickeningly sweet) taste. The finish was smooth with no alcohol heat.
Not the worst tequila I've had, but certainly not the best. I have to say I was disapointed overall. Perhaps because my expectations were so high. I'm glad I tried it, and I like looking at the bottle on my bar, but for the price there's other spirits I would buy.

This tequila presents an entirely different taste than just about anything else on the market today, and is one of the best ones I've ever had. The bordeaux barrel aging changes the entire complexion and flavoring of the drink. Smooth, unique, distinctive, all of these descriptions apply. I would prefer to drink this over 90% of what's available out there today (at least in my restricted drinking state of Massachusetts). Please do NOT confuse this with their three month aged reposado which tastes more like pink lemonade than tequila.

I am sorry but I can't get the image of this package out of my mind when I tasted this. If you want me to take you seriously do not put your product in a package that looks like the male appendage.

I tried becuase I wanted to taste the tequila but the package ruins it for me.
