Tequila Sol Dios Platinum Blanco

Tequila Sol Dios Platinum Blanco, 100% puro de Agave and handcrafted.

The "Elixir of The Gods," dates as far back as the great Mayan temple. It is there that they found the simple sun etched in the stone. The round sun represents the eye of the Sun God who sees all. His emanating rays representing the eleven simple pleasures desired by all. It was believed that an offering to the gods of this special golden tequila would bring them these pleasures & it is said today that a true sun god or goddess who drinks Sol Dios will see all truths & feel all eleven pleasures, one at a time. The four sided glass temple designed to hold Sol Dios, is a tribute to where the simple sun etching was first found. When you turn it over, you can see the steps to the inner temple where the offerings to the Sun God were made.

Tasted out of a snifter glass on 9/27/08. I was somewhat letdown with this blanco. I expected more. Maybe it was the presentation that got me interested. But I don't see myself wanting to have this one again. Just not very memorable for me.

Aroma: A very citrus, peppery nose. But this was where the citrus ended.
Initial Taste: An oily mouth feel with a light heated bitterness.
Body: Very simple: Agave and earth. That's it!
Finish: A long heated finish with a slight alcohol burn.
