Tasted out of a snifter at home. A blanco worthy of any cocktail and manages to get a way with being a sipper. It's by no means a memorable sipper, but for $18 a bottle, how can I argue. Slight alcohol taste though out, but nothing to lose sleep over.
Aroma: A fruity nose full of citrus.
Initial Taste: A sweet entry with a slight alcohol burn.
Body: A decent agave body with slight citrus notes. Nothing complex here.
Finish: a semi heated finish with a slight fruity lingering.

I tried this at a Binnys store in Chicago as it was being sampled in the store. They also had a $10 rebate on it and it was priced at $16.99. That should have been my first warning!! I was really surprised to find out it was 100% agave when I tried it as it had a real alcohol burn. So much that I really couldn't taste any agave flavor.

I would not recommend this as a sipper, but it would be fine in a margarita especially with the $10 rebate.

Lunazul Tequila Blanco, NOM 1513. This crystal clear colored spirit has a pronounced agave nose with alcohol overtones. The initial taste has hints of cinnamon & cloves with a hot, spicy aftertaste. The body is light, with an almost airy characteristic lending it to being a wonderful mixer in tequila cocktails. It finishes medium long with a slight openness toward the end. Lunazul Blanco is fairly smooth but when combined in a Margarita, the result proves to be complex in a pure & natural state with a nice rounded edge. In other words, the agave really comes through & the heat has dissipated. Great value.
