Tequila Rose Kicks Off National Online Auction With Bomshel and Wicked Women Choppers to Raise Money for Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute

DETROIT, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 27, 2007 -- Tequila Rose , the original strawberry flavored cream with a splash of premium tequila, will produce an online auction of a unique Wicked Women Chopper by Christine Vaughn, with proceeds from the auction being designated for the Detroit-based and nationally renowned Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.

The entire effort is being promoted by Kristy O and Buffy Lawson, more commonly known as Bomshel, the sassy country recording duo, during their 2007 Wicked Women of Tequila Rose national concert tour.

The Auction will kick off March 7, 2007 on www.CMTauctions.com. The winning bid will be announced at midnight, March 24, 2007 during a live performance by Bomshel at the Intersection, a Grand Rapids, MI nightclub.

Bomshel autographed the Bike and have been obtaining autographs of other Country performers such as JoDee Messina, Steve Holy and others.

Bomshel is known for high energy shows and performances, with Buffy Lawson providing emotive, take no prisoners vocals and Kristy O, an athletic and electrifying fiddler. Together, the combo provides their audience, especially women, with an unforgettable performance. The duo has posted a number of songs on iTunes in anticipation of their national release including tunes such as "The Bomshel Stomp."

Vic Morrison, vice president of marketing for McCormick Distilling Company , based in Weston, MO near Kansas City, the oldest continually operating distiller west of the Mississippi and makers of Tequila Rose, said his company is very excited about the opportunity to raise funds for such a prestigious organization such as Karmanos.

"On behalf of the Karmanos Cancer Center, I'd like to thank Tequila Rose and Bomshel for choosing the Center as the recipient of their auction funds," said John C. Ruckdeschel, M.D., president and chief executive officer, Karmanos Cancer Center. "The money raised will help further our quest in the fight against cancer."

Introduced in 1995, Tequila Rose is a unique blend of cream from the Netherlands with a splash of tequila and strawberry flavor. Encouraged by a growing group of consumers, McCormick opted to introduce the new Java and Cocoa flavors along with bold new packaging.
